General Pre-Op Instructions
If you have an upcoming procedure in our office please refer to the general instructions below. Keep in mind that you may have received personalized pre-operative instructions for your specific procedure, if so please follow those instructions.
To prepare for your appointment:
- Do NOT eat anything for at least 6 hours prior to your appointment
- You can have clear liquids for up to 2 hours before your appointment
- Wear a short sleeve shirt for easy monitoring access
- Do NOT wear dark nail polish
- Take only medications approved by your doctor with a small sip of water
- You MUST have a responsible adult escort present with you at check-in to drive you home following your procedure, they must remain in the office from check-in to the conclusion of your procedure.
Please arrive on time for your surgery appointment. If you have not prepared for the appointment as instructed, we may have to reschedule your surgery appointment.
Medications will be called in the day after your consult, you have 3 days to pick them up at the pharmacy. Additional medications may be ordered the day of surgery.
